Public Training Explained

What Is Public Training?

Public training is a scheduled, open-enrolment course where professionals from different organisations learn together. You choose a published program and date, register one or more participants, and attend at the stated venue. It is a practical option when an individual or a small company group needs development without arranging a private in-house session.

Step 01

Choose a course

Browse the calendar and open the individual program page for the agenda, trainer, fees and learning outcomes.

Step 02

Confirm eligibility

Check the participant level, prerequisites, available seats and HRD Corp claimable status before registration.

Step 03

Register participants

Submit the participant and billing details. Companies may request a quotation or supporting documents for internal approval.

Step 04

Attend and apply

Take part in facilitated learning, practical exercises and discussions, then apply the tools back at work.

HRD Corp Claimable Training

How the HRD Corp Claim Process Usually Works

For eligible employers, selected public training programs may be claimable subject to HRD Corp rules and approval. Claimability is not automatic, so confirm the program status and complete the employer-side application before training.

01

Choose the program

Check the event page, training date, participant fit and stated claimable information.

02

Request documents

Ask GOFLEX EVENTS for the quotation and relevant program documents required for your internal process.

03

Employer applies

The registered employer normally submits the grant application before training, subject to current HRD Corp requirements.

04

Attend and complete

Participants attend the approved course and the employer follows the applicable claim submission process.

Important: HRD Corp eligibility, approval, levy availability and claim requirements are controlled by HRD Corp and may change. Confirm current requirements before relying on a claim.

Registration Process

Register for a Public Training Course

Four steps, and you can start any of them right now. Most companies are confirmed within a working day.

  1. 1

    Pick your date

Open the course you want from the training calendar and check the date, level and outline.

  2. 2

    Tell us who is coming

Send us the course, the date and how many people. WhatsApp, email us or use the enquiry form.

  3. 3

    We send the paperwork

You get a quotation with the fee and inclusions, plus the documents your HR team needs for internal approval or an HRD Corp grant application.

  4. 4

    Confirm and attend

Once payment or the company PO is in, we send the joining instructions — room, timing, and what to bring. Excel and AI courses need a laptop.

Ready, or still deciding?

Ask us about seat availability, group bookings for 3 or more, or whether a course fits your team.

Sending a Larger Group?

Compare Public Seats with In-House Training

Public training works well for individuals and small groups. For a larger team, private date, company-specific examples or customised learning objectives, an in-house program may offer a better fit.

Public Training FAQ

Questions Before You Register

Use the individual event page for program-specific information. These answers cover the usual public training journey.

Public training is a scheduled open-enrolment course attended by participants from different organisations. Individuals or companies can register one or more seats without arranging a private class.

Professionals, executives, HR teams, managers, business owners, individuals wanting to upskill and companies sending a small number of employees may benefit. Check each program page for the intended participant level.

Selected programs may be HRD Corp claimable, subject to employer eligibility, levy balance, program approval and current claim requirements. Confirm the status with GOFLEX EVENTS before applying.

Public sessions are capped at 10 participants so the trainer can work with everyone directly. Contact the team for current seat availability or any minimum attendance condition on a specific intake.

Public training is usually held at WORQ KL Gateway Mall in Kuala Lumpur unless stated otherwise. Always use the final registration confirmation for the exact venue and room.

Inclusions vary by program. The individual event page or quotation should state the training materials, meals or refreshments, certificate and any other inclusions.

Sessions run from 9:00am, with registration from 8:30am. Your joining email confirms the finish time, break times and the room number.

Training delivery, course materials and a certificate of attendance are included, along with refreshments at the venue. The exact inclusions are listed on your quotation, so check that document before you register.

Tell us as early as you can. Depending on the notice given, we will usually move your seat to a later intake or transfer it to a colleague. The written terms are set out in your quotation and confirmation email.

Courses are delivered in English, with Bahasa Malaysia used for explanation where it helps the group. Materials are in English.

Tell us how many people you are sending and we will quote accordingly. If you are sending a larger group, ask us to compare public seats against a private in-house session — it is often the better value.

Yes, individuals may enquire and register for available public courses. HRD Corp claims, however, generally relate to eligible registered employers and applicable requirements.

For a larger group, private date or customised content, consider in-house training in Malaysia. The team can compare the practical and commercial fit with booking multiple public seats.

Fees vary by program and duration. The current fee is stated on each event page, and we can send a written quotation with the inclusions for your internal approval. Ask us for the quotation before you register.
