HRD Corp sets these limits, not us. Which cap applies depends on whether your programme is registered as technical or soft skills — ask and we will confirm before you plan headcount. One or two full days; we do not run half-days. English as standard, Bahasa Malaysia on request. Digital materials by default, printed where the session needs them. Delivered nationwide, East Malaysia included; beyond 100km, allowances, accommodation and transport are claimable and quoted separately.

HRD Corp Claimable In-House Training

You apply, we supply. The employer submits the grant application; GOFLEX provides everything you attach. One application covers the whole group rather than separate seats — which is why in-house is usually the most efficient way to spend a levy balance. Under the HRD Corp Claimable Courses scheme, employers are generally not required to pay the training provider up front; the fee is settled from the levy once the claim is approved. New to it? FAQ

Questions HR Managers Ask Before Booking

Clear answers for HR teams and managers planning in-house training for their department.

HRD Corp allows claimable in-house training from a minimum of two participants per group, up to 50 for soft-skills courses and 25 for technical courses. Which category your programme falls into is fixed at registration, so ask us to confirm before you plan headcount. Below five participants HRD Corp prorates the course fee, so very small groups often work out better as public seats instead.

Yes. In-house sessions are delivered nationwide, including East Malaysia. Where training is held 100km or more from where participants normally work, the HRD Corp Allowable Cost Matrix treats trainee and trainer allowances, accommodation, airfare, and chartered transport as claimable costs on top of the course fee, subject to approval and claim requirements. We quote these separately so your approver sees exactly what sits where.

Sometimes, and we will tell you when it is a bad idea. Two related topics with a shared audience can often be condensed into one well-designed day. Two unrelated topics compressed into a day usually means neither is covered properly. Note that HRD Corp counts a full training day as at least seven hours, so a combined day still has to be a full day, not a rushed afternoon.

Yes. Repeat runs for different shifts or locations are common, and are quoted as a series rather than separate one-off sessions. Materials and trainer stay consistent so both groups get identical content. On the funding side, each batch is treated as its own group by HRD Corp, so plan for a grant application per batch rather than one covering both.

English is the standard delivery language for all our programmes. Bahasa Malaysia or bilingual delivery can be arranged on request, subject to trainer availability for that particular topic. Tell us at enquiry stage rather than after the trainer is confirmed, so we can match the right person from the start.

Four weeks is comfortable. The arithmetic matters if you are claiming: HRD Corp requires in-house training to begin no earlier than 14 days after your grant is approved, and the application needs our quotation, course outline, and accredited trainer profile attached before you can submit it. Working backwards from your target date, that leaves roughly a fortnight for the discovery call and tailoring. Shorter timelines can sometimes work for standard content, but the 14-day rule is HRD Corp's and cannot be shortened.

For skills-based programmes such as Excel, a short pre-training questionnaire helps us pitch the content at the right level rather than losing half the room in the first hour. It is optional, takes a few minutes, and the summary comes back to you before the session.

In-house training is quoted for the group rather than per head, so a few absences do not change the fee and the session runs as planned. You are free to substitute other staff into empty seats. Two things to watch on the claim side: HRD Corp requires each participant to complete at least 75% of the total training hours for their attendance to count, and if fewer than five people actually attend, the course fee is prorated. If your numbers change substantially before the date, tell us early.

Request a Quotation for In-House Training

Send us your company, topic, participant count, preferred dates, location, and whether you intend to claim. If you are unsure about any of them, send what you have — the discovery call fills the gaps.
