Pauline Goh | EX GM OF MALAYSIAN RECYCLING ALLIANCE BERHAD (MAREA)

Pauline is passionate about telecommunication, foreign direct investment as well as Circular Economy, ESG and EPR. She started her career with Alcatel/Alcatel-Lucent where she had 19 years of experience in the telecommunications industry holding multiple leadership positions prior to joining InvestKL Corporation in April 2012. In InvestKL, Pauline has contributed immensely to the success to meet their 2020 objective of attracting 100 MNCs to setup their regional hub in Greater Kuala Lumpur. Pauline was then appointed as General Manager at MAREA (Malaysian Recycling Alliance Berhad) in Feb 2021; the first voluntary EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) in Malaysia to push for post-Consumer Packaging Waste Recycling in Malaysia for the FMCG sector. She retired on 1 Jan 2023. She has recently received the ‘Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite’ from France for her outstanding contributions and achievements in promoting French-Malaysian business relation. Pauline is the Vice Chairman of Swiss Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (SMCC), Vice President of Belgium Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (BeLuxCham), Vice President of Serdang Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI) as well as Member of Industry Advisory Board of Sunway Business School, Sunway University.

Georg Chmiel - CO-FOUNDER & CHAIR OF JUWAI IQI

Georg has 3 decades of experience in rapidly growing, disruptive online businesses and has been leading more than 35 acquisitions and been taken over 6 times. He was instrumental in creating 3 unicorns so far during his career. Georg is the Co-Founder & Chair of Juwai-IQI Holdings, the largest proptech group in South East Asia and Chair, Director or Advisor for other companies. He was previously Executive Chair of iCarAsia and Managing Director / CEO of  iProperty Group.

Reuben Clements - Sustainable Finance Specialist of Zoological Society of London

Gopalasamy Reuben Clements joined ZSL in 2023 as a Sustainable Finance Specialist, and represents ZSL’s Sustainable Finance Programme in Southeast Asia, where he has over 18 years of experience as a conservation scientist. He currently provides technical inputs, particularly on nature and biodiversity, in the development of new Nature-based Solutions (NBS) projects and engagement with finance institutions. During an 8-year academic career where he finished as a full Professor, Reuben published over 100 articles that include Nature, and his work has been featured in the BBC, New York Times and National Geographic. He served as the Species Manager of WWF-Malaysia’s tiger and rhino programmes, and subsequently co-founded a Malaysian non-profit known as Rimba, which raised more than USD3 million over 10 years to help conserve threatened species and ecosystems in Peninsular Malaysia. Since he set up his wildlife conservation project in Kenyir, Terengganu, Reuben’s team has helped nab 36 poachers, remove over 300 snares, and helped the state government create a 30,000-hectare protected area known as the Kenyir State Park. He has since set up a NBS project called Kenyir for Life, which aims to conserve a 200,000-hectare watershed through sustainable finance mechanisms. Reuben has a MSc and BSc in Biology from the National University of Singapore, and a PhD in Conservation Science from James Cook University.

Ahila Ganesan - FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR OF FUTURE LINQ

Ar. Ahila Ganesan, a professional architect with the Board of Architects Malaysia, has over 20 years of experience in the built environment. As a consultant architect she was involved in award winning Malaysian and international projects. In 2012, she transitioned successfully into property development and helmed the regional offices for some of the most prominent property developers in Malaysia, Sunway Property and Mah Sing Property. She subsequently served as the Senior Director at Think City, Khazanah Nasional Berhad,  an organization that focuses on various facets of nation building in the context of sustainable urbanism and resilience in cities. Her role required collaboration with a wide spectrum of local and global stakeholders including United Nations Development Program, United Nations-Habitat, World Bank and The Princes Foundation to name a few.  Ahila is a sustainability enthusiast and a regular speaker at national and international forums.  She is also the Founder and Director of Future LinQ, a consultancy, which focuses on connecting sustainability and ESG to strategy for organisations. She also serves as a Special Advisor to ESG Foundation, a global entity located in London.  Ahila also serves as an independent non-executive director for Velesto Energy Berhad, a public listed company in the upstream oil and gas sector and UM Holdings, the commercial and investment arm of Universiti Malaya.
